PALM DESERT, Calif. – Kasper Nyland closed out the first round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate tied for sixth one-under par, while the Bobcats are tied for ninth at the Classic Club.
Texas State is in a two-way tie for ninth alongside Tarleton State after going seven-over 295, their second-highest opening round total this season. Fresno State will enter the second round in first place after shooting two-under.
Kasper Nyland recorded his eighth under-par round of the season after firing a one-under 71 with the help of four birdies in the first round. The junior is four strokes behind leader Riley Bell.
Jack Burke found his way into the top-20 with a one-over par opening round. With a double-bogey on hole one,
Terrin Anderson tied for 42
nd three-over 75.
Sakke Siltala follows closely behind after he shot his second-highest round of the season today with four-over 75. In just his second tournament of the season
Hayes Hutton rounds out the Bobcats after going nine-over.
