Women’s Golf Finishes Day One of “Mo”Morial Invitational

BRYAN, Texas – The Texas State women's golf program sits in 14th place after two rounds of the "Mo"Morial Invitational and Marine Griffaut is tied for 22nd
 
Team
The Bobcats completed two rounds 31-over par at the Traditions Golf Club. The Bobcats recorded a 302-course total in the first round and 305 in the final round of the day. The team is four strokes behind Kansas State.
 
Texas currently sits atop the leaderboard shooting 14-under.
 
Individual
Junior Marine Griffaut led the Bobcats through two rounds, moving up two spots at the end of the day going 2-over par. She recorded four birdies on the back nine in round two. 
 
Federica Tavelli-Westerlund sits second among the Bobcat lineup and is tied for 47th in a field of 78 competitors. The junior stayed even on the front nine of round two with the help of a birdie on hole 6.
