SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State Athletics is excited to welcome back Bobcat Nation to football gamedays for the 2022 season, and it has announced several enhancements to improve the gameday experience.
 
The first opportunity for fans to experience the enhancements is Sept. 10 when the Bobcats take on FIU at 6 pm. Affordable ticket options are available now at txst.com/tickets.
 
New Priority Seating

• Sections 101-105, behind the Bobcat bench, have undergone a complete renovation with new, cushioned chairback seating. The wider seating layout allows for more room and comfort for Texas State fans.

Updated Bobcat Club Tailgating Entry Policy

• Following numerous requests from Bobcat Nation for an early entry time to tailgate, parking lots will now open at 8 am on gamedays for Bobcat Club members and Bobcat Club lots to maximize time to set up and hang out prior to joining the game inside Bobcat Stadium
• For any non-Bobcat Club members, entry to the parking lot will remain at six hours prior to kickoff (noon for a 6 p.m. game)
• Fans can reserve their tailgating spot and join the Bobcat Club by calling 512-245-2114

 
Concessions updates

• After working with a concessions consultant, fans will see improvements to their experience leading to increased customer satisfaction
• The two main stands on the west and east concourses have been restructured for better efficiency in serving fans
• New hard-wired data lines have been installed at all satellite and permanent stands to create faster transaction times at points of sale and to reduce time for fans at concession stands. This will allow fans to get back to their seats faster and enjoy the game.
• Beer and wine are available at all concession stands. Guests must be 21 or older and a present a valid ID to purchase.
• Refreshed and enhanced menu selections
• Digital menu boards at all stands
• Texas State students can use Bobcat Bucks and Meal Swipes at all concession stands
• Fans can also use the Grubhub app for mobile ordering while at their seats
• Returning and new vendors at concession stands, including Chick-fil-A, AJ's, Circus Cirque, Pizza Hut and Grid Iron Grill
• Discounted concession options, including the "Eat 'Em Up Combo" with features a value-priced meal of a hot dog, chips and water

Tailgating Options

• Fans can tailgate in several great locations, such as Tailgate Central, RV Tailgating and Spring Lake Tailgating
• The Texas State University Alumni Association will also have a special tailgate at the following games: Sept. 10 vs. FIU, Oct. 8 vs. App State, and Oct. 22 vs. Southern Miss
• There will also be an Alumni Association Tailgate at the road game at Baylor on Sept. 17

Digital Tickets

• Digital tickets for single-game and season-ticket holders will be delivered to inboxes soon
• Fans can scan their digital tickets upon entry to Bobcat Stadium

 
Gowens Family Pavilion

• The Gowens Family Pavilion will open three hours prior to kickoff
• Live music at the Pavilion will be at select home games

 
Return of the Katzengarten

• The Katzengarten, presented by H-E-B, will return in 2022 following the successful launch last year
• Open to all fans, the Katzengarten is an on-the-field hospitality area with food and beverages available for sale
• Fans can also enjoy food and beverages from H-E-B, Black's BBQ and Coca-Cola at select games. Black's BBQ will be available at the home opener on Sept. 10 against FIU.
• Two postgame concerts in the Katzengarten will take place to round out gameday. Concert dates include Dysfunkshun Junkshun on Sept. 10 and The Spazmatics on November 29.

 
New Hospitality Area

• Following the successful launch of the Katzengarten inside the stadium, Bobcat fans can now enjoy the new "Cypress Cove" on the outside of the West Side Complex in front of Gate 2
• Food and beverages will be available in this shaded, grassy area, providing fans another option to relax and entertain before entering the stadium if they do not have their own tailgate setup

 
Stadium Upgrades

• New fans installed on the Diepenhorst Champions Club
• Painted the field to freshen up the maroon and various logos
