SAN MARCOS, Texas - In the latest episode of the States Up podcast, Texas State Director of Athletics Don Coryell makes his first appearance and gives an update of Texas State athletics while football's Chandler Speights talks about his path from walk-on to impact player as well as the origin of his nickname, "Tweeder."

Coryell, a year into his role as Texas State's AD, looks back at the seasons so far as well as gives an update on important fundraising gifts made to Bobcat programs.
 
Speights, meanwhile, dives into going from one Division III offer out of high school to his many roles on the team, what it is like to play for head coach Jake Spavital, and how he got the nickname everyone knows him by.
