White Out, 1982 Team Recognition Lined Up for Saturday

SAN MARCOS, Texas – White Out, Heroes Day and a recognition of the 1982 national championship team highlight the promotions for Saturday's game, presented by Bud Light, between Texas State and Arkansas State at Bobcat Stadium.
 
The 4 p.m. contest between Sun Belt rivals will feature a number of promotions for fans of all ages to enjoy. Tickets are available now at TXST.com/tickets.
 
White Out
The first 2,000 fans will receive a free Texas State white t-shirt. Also, a limited number of special edition white Texas State t-shirts with the throwback Bobcats script on the front are available for purchase now.
 
1982 Recognition
Texas State's 1982 national championship team will be welcomed back and honored for its 40th anniversary. The team went undefeated en route to winning the program's second national championship in as many years under head coach Jim Wacker. More than 50 members of the team will be recognized on Jim Wacker Field at halftime.
 
Heroes Day
To honor military members and veterans, first responders, and health care professionals, Texas State is offering a discounted ticket to those individuals for the Nov. 19 game. Heroes can present their military ID or proof of service at any Texas State Athletics ticket office window on gameday and receive a $10 ticket.
 
All fans can also show their appreciation for heroes by purchasing the Heroes Day Package, which includes 10 tickets that will be donated to veterans, military personnel, first responders and healthcare workers. Tickets to active and retired military and their families will be distributed through Vet Tix.
 
Other salutes to heroes will include a field-wide American flag displayed pregame during the national anthem and in-game recognitions of the groups.
 
Hope Hits Harder
Texas State and Hope Hits Harder, a nonprofit that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children diagnosed with cancer in the San Antonio area, have teamed up to provide tickets to families and youth facing the burden of cancer.
 
H-E-B Katzengarten
The H-E-B Katzengarten will be open to all fans and feature free food from the H-E-B Food Truck, while supplies last.
 
Coca-Cola Fun Zone
The Coca-Cola Fun Zone will return with an inflatable slide, a bounce house, petting zoo and face painting for kids.
 
Tailgate Central
Tailgate Central, located in the parking lot on the east side of Bobcat Stadium, will be open and spots are available for $20. Fans can access their tailgating spots starting at 10 a.m. on gameday.
 
While tickets are available now, the Texas State Athletics Ticket Office will also be open on gameday starting at 10 a.m. while gates open at 2:30 p.m.
