SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team faces off with Arkansas State inside the First National Bank Arena on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both teams enter 12-4 on the season and 3-1 in the Sun Belt Conference.

LOOKING AT THE BOBCATS
Thursday saw the Bobcats defeat Little Rock by 10 for its third consecutive win.
Caleb Asberry finished with a game-high 19 points, 17 of which came in the first 20 minutes, and eight rebounds.
Nighael Ceaser contributed 12 points off the bench while both
Mason Harrell and
Isiah Small netted 10 points apiece.
SCOUTING ARKANSAS STATE
In its first game in 12 days, Arkansas State used a strong second half to defeat UT Arlington 75-70 Thursday night. Four Red Wolves finished with double-digit points led by a Norchad Omier's double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds. ASU is off to its first 12-4 start since the 1996-97 season and come into Saturday 8-1 at home.
Omier is averaging a double-double of 16.7 ppg and 11.2 rpg. He has made 66.5% of his shots, the second highest rate in the country, while blocking 35 shots. Desi Sills is putting up 13.8 ppg and Marquis Eaton comes in averaging 13.1 ppg. Eaton has also converted 53-of-56 at the free throw line for 94.6%, the second best in the country.
SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series is 10-3 in favor of Texas State as the Bobcats have won the last 10 meetings. Last season's lone meeting saw TXST pull out a 57-52 victory behind a 17-point effort from Harrell. The last loss to ASU came on Jan. 17, 2015 in Jonesboro, Arkansas by a 78-73 score in overtime.
