SAN MARCOS, Texas – The last of five consecutive road matches to start the 2021 season takes place Sunday when the Texas State soccer team (1-2-1) travels to face Abilene Christian (1-2-0). Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Elmer Gray Stadium.
 
The match will be streamed on the WAC Digital Network and live stats will also be available.
 
About Texas State
TXST dropped its second straight match by a 2-1 score on Thursday at No. 13 Rice. Madison Humphrey netted the Bobcats' goal with just under 20 minutes left on the clock. It was her team leading second goal of the season.
 
In goal, Beth Agee made a career-high 11 saves. The total is tied for the most this season by a Sun Belt Conference goalkeeper. Agee's save mark is tied for the fifth most in a match in program history and is the most by a Texas State keeper in 14 years.
 
About Abilene Christian
The Wildcats are coming off a 6-0 loss at Texas Tech last Sunday. ACU began the season with a 2-1 overtime loss at New Mexico State and followed with a 1-0 win at UTEP. This Sunday's match is the first of six consecutive home contests for the Wildcats.
 
Natalie Jones has scored both of ACU's goals this season. The lone assist belongs to Christian Arteaga. The duo has both taken seven shots apiece to lead the team while the rest of the squad has accounted for 12 shot attempts.
 
Lily Foster has played all 272:19 minutes between the posts. She has a 2.65 GAA with 17 saves for a .680 save percentage.

Abilene Christian won the only previous meeting between the teams. That meeting took place on Sept. 13, 2020 in San Marcos and ended 3-2 in the Wildcats favor in overtime.
