PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – With just over four minutes left in regulation,
Mya Ulloa netted her first career goal to tie the match. That score claimed a 1-1 draw for Texas State (1-0-1) and Prairie View A&M (0-1-1) on Sunday at the PVAMU Soccer Complex.

Ulloa had a great look with just over a minute left in the first half.
Ally Kewish sent a through ball between two defenders to spring the sophomore. However, Ulloa's shot went just wide of the right post.

Next best opportunity came midway through the 67th minute when
Kiara Gonzales ripped a shot clanked off the right post.

The Panthers found the back of the net in the 77th minute with a shot from just outside the six-yard box for the 1-0 advantage.

Peschel raced down the left side and stopped the ball before it crossed the end line. She sent in a cross that Gonzales headed back towards the far post. The ball found its way to
Mya Ulloa, who poked it home for the match-tying score late in the 86th minute.

With nearly 30 seconds left in regulation, a cross from Ulloa to the pack post saw Gonzales attempt a header that found the outside netting.

In the 105th minute, PVAMU was called for a foul just outside the box. Peschel lined up and sent a shot on frame that the goalkeeper made a diving save to keep the contest tied.

The Bobcats attempted 26 shots with half of them being on goal. Gonzales led the way with six shots while Ulloa and Peschel took five and four attempts, respectively.

Making her first start in goal,
Katelyn Chrisman made two saves.

Next up for Texas State is a meeting at Stephen F. Austin on Sunday, Aug. 29 at 1 p.m.

Ulloa had a last second shot that saw the keeper have to making a leaping save to finish off the draw.
