SAN MARCOS, Texas – Sunday's series finale went against Texas State (17-24, 7-8 Sun Belt) as Arkansas State (11-22, 6-9 Sun Belt) won 12-1 at Bobcat Ballpark.

Triston Dixon (0-1) took the loss after surrendering the go-ahead run while striking out two in an inning of work. Carter Holt (3-2) picked up the win on the mound as he went six innings and gave up a run on four hits and three walks. Picking up his third save of the season after tossing three scoreless innings was Jack Jumper.

Making the start on the mound for the Bobcats was
Tony Robie. The right-hander struck out two and allowed a run on five hits in five innings. Also throwing an inning of relief was
Tristan Stivors and
Dontae Woodard.

Both
Chase Evans and
Tucker Redden had two hits apiece.
Cole Coffey plated TXST's lone run on his seventh home run of the season and
John Wuthrich recorded one base knock.

The Red Wolves loaded the bases in the third and managed to score a run on a sacrifice fly.

Coffey led off the bottom half of the inning and smacked the first pitch he saw over the right field wall to tie the game 1-1.

The Bobcats would get runners into scoring position in both the fifth and sixth but were unable to come up with a hit to take the lead.

ASU tallied 11 combined runs over the final three innings to close out the game.

Next up for Texas State is a trip to College Station to take on Texas A&M on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed on SEC Network+.
