SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State football team continues preparations for the 2021 season on Tuesday, March 23, when the Bobcats open spring practices at Bobcat Stadium.

The Bobcats completed their winter workouts and will have a total of 15 practices distributed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and culminating with the 2021 Texas State Spring Game on April 24. Texas State will hold its first spring practices since the COVID-19 Pandemic cut short last year's spring practice schedule.

Head coach
Jake Spavital heads into his third season with the Bobcats and brings back most of his two-deep on both offense and defense. The Bobcats also have 10 newcomers who have been on campus since January and two transfers who sat out last season.

COMING IN FALL 2021
Texas State plays a 12-game slate that begins with a home game against Baylor on Sept. 4. The Bobcats also play home games against UIW on Sept. 18, South Alabama on Oct. 9, Troy on Oct. 16, ULM on Nov. 6, and Georgia Southern on Nov. 13. Texas State's road games are at FIU on Sept. 11, Eastern Michigan on Sept. 25, Georgia State on Oct. 23, Louisiana on Oct. 30, Coastal Carolina on Nov. 20, and Arkansas State on Nov 27.
