Played in nine games...made eight starts at quarterback...completed 173-of-282 passes for 1,925 yards and 17 touchdowns with seven interceptions...had a pass efficiency rating of 133.6...rushed for 76 yards...ranked fourth among Sun Belt Conference leaders with 213.9 passing yards per game...ranked fifth in the Sun Belt with an average of 222.3 yards of total offense...had the most passing yards and TDs in the Sun Belt  game when he threw for 457 yards and five touchdowns against Arkansas State...he completed 32 of 45 passes against the Red Wolves...completed 20 of 26 passes for 202 yards and a TD against No. 16-ranked Coastal Carolina...completed 28 of 40 passes for 260 yards and one touchdown at South Alabama...also completed 19 of 29 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns at Boston College...threw two TD passes against SMU, No. 11-ranked BYU, and Georgia Southern...rushed for a season-high 22 yards against Louisiana and Troy.

Dual-threat quarterback for head coach Mike DeWitt at Coppell High School...was a three-year starter for the Cowboys...led the Cowboys to a combined 27-10 record and three-straight UIL Class 6A Division I playoffs...Coppell advanced to the postseason third round in 2016 (10-3 record) and 2017 (11-2 record)...tallied 7,662 total yards…completed 501-of-823 passes for 6,516 yards, 86 touchdowns with just 14 interceptions…rushed for 1,142 yards and 21 TDs…earned 2017 Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Class 6A All-State honorable mention after passing for 2,414 yards and 35 touchdowns as a senior…had a 128.6 passer rating in 2017…named the District 9-6A MVP after throwing for 2,616 yards and 33 TDs…passed for nearly 1,500 yards and 18 TD as sophomore to earn All-District 7-6A Second Team honors as a sophomore.
