LOOKING AT THE BOBCATSÂ
Saturday's game will be the first of two final home games in the 2020 season for Texas State. The Bobcats will host No. 15/17-ranked Coastal Carolina on Nov. 28 at Bobcat Stadium.
Â
The Texas State offense enters Saturday's game ranked fourth out of 126 teams in the nation with 206 first downs. The 206 first downs also put the Bobcats at the top of the Sun Belt standings. Only SMU (225), North Carolina (223), and BYU (211) have more first downs than Texas State this season.Â
Â
Jeremiah Haydel became the top return specialist in the FBS this season in combined kick returns. Haydel ranks seventh in punt returns, and no FBS player has more kickoff return yards than Haydel's 565. His 14.1 punt return average also leads the Sun Belt Conference.
Â
Junior receiver
Marcell Barbee's nine touchdown receptions this season are the most by a Sun Belt Conference player. Barbee's TD total trails only the 10 TD catches by Jaelon Darden's of North Texas in the NCAA rankings.
Â
Junior cornerback
Jarron Morris is tied for the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference lead in interceptions with four this season.
Â
After collecting two turnovers at Georgia Southern last week, Texas State ranks 11th in the FBS with 14 total turnovers gained. The Bobcats trail UCF by five for the top spot in the NCAA FBS.
Â
With his 59-yard touchdown pass to
Javen Banks at Georgia Southern last Saturday, sophomore quarterback
Brady McBride has now thrown at least one touchdown pass in every game of his Texas State career. McBride enters Saturday's game versus Arkansas State having thrown for a TD pass in seven straight games. His streak is the second-longest since
Tyler Jones threw at least one touchdown pass in 16 consecutive games from 2013-14.

Adams, Jr. also leads the SBC in receiving yards (832), receiving yards per game (104.0), and receptions per game (7.5). Â
