AUSTIN – Texas State football opened the 2026 season falling, 59-7, on the road to No. 5/4 Texas in Austin.
Quarterback
Brad Jackson was 15-23 passing for 150 yards and added 32 yards on the ground, while
Gavin Parkhurst entered the game with five minutes remaining in the third quarter to go 5-6 for 38 yards.
Tucker Cusano led Bobcat receivers with a career day after primarily playing on special teams in 2025. The redshirt-freshman had a team-high 58 yards off three receptions. Biletnikoff Watch List duo
