SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Sun Belt Conference and ESPN announced Friday that Texas State's football game at Troy kicks off at 2:30 p.m. in Veteran Memorial Stadium. ESPN3 will broadcast the game.

The game at Troy marks the second straight game that ESPN3 has broadcast a Bobcat contest. The network also carried Texas State's game at Boston College on Sept. 26.

The time change is the second time the game has moved due to television. The contest was scheduled originally for Thursday, Oct. 8, on ESPNU, but was moved to the current Saturday slot to accommodate ESPN's broadcast schedule.

The Bobcats are in their second season under second-year head coach
Jake Spavital, who is calling the offensive plays for one of the top two offenses in the Sun Belt Conference in 2020. Spavital began his head coaching career in 2019 after rising through the coaching ranks calling plays while serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Texas A&M, Cal, and West Virginia.
