SETTING THE SCENE
- Texas State opened the 2019 season with a 41-7 loss at the hands of No. 11 Texas A&M on Aug. 29 at Kyle Field in College Station. The Bobcats were held to eight yards rushing and had a tough night protecting the quarterback and the football.
- Both sophomore quarterback Tyler Vitt and junior QB Gresch Jensen saw playing time in the loss to the Aggies. Vitt had earned the start on the strength of a great fall camp. Unfortunately, his night was cut short after completing 9-of-15 passes for 51 yards and a pair of interceptions. He was sacked twice.
- Jensen relieved Vitt late in the second quarter. He completed 20-of-31 passing attempts for 160 yards and one touchdown. He was also intercepted twice and sacked once.
- Senior wide receiver Hutch White hauled in a team-best seven receptions for 60 yards out of the slot position. Sophomore Trevis Graham, Jr. secured the biggest play of the game for the Bobcat offense, a 27-yard touchdown catch from Jensen. Graham added four catches for 53 yards.
- Defensively, five Bobcats posted six-plus tackles. Freshman defensive back Khambrail Winters paced the TXST defense with eight tackles. Senior linebacker Frankie Griffin added six stops and recovered a fumble forced by senior defensive back Anthony J. Taylor.
- Senior linebacker Bryan London II collected his first career interception. He diagnosed the play-action, undercut the dig route, and snagged the ball with one hand before returning the interception 13 yards. He added four tackles and one QB hurry.

SCOUTING THE COWBOYS
- Wyoming will invade San Marcos after upsetting Missouri out of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) to open the 2019 season. The Cowboys scored 27 points in the second quarter to propel the home team to a 37-31 triumph.
- The Cowboy defense forced Missouri into three turnovers (two lost fumbles and an interception). Senior defensive back Alijah Halliburton tallied 17 tackles and returned a fumble 79 yards to lead the Cowboys. The biggest defensive play of the game came via sophomore defensive back C.J. Coldon. He scooped up a fumble and returned it 30 yards for a score. In total, UW outscored Missouri 17-0 in points off turnovers.
- Offensively, the Cowboys relied on a potent rushing attack. UW compiled 297 yards on 42 carries (7.1 yards per rush) and held the Tigers to 114 yards (2.7 yards per rush).
- Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl is in his sixth season patrolling the sidelines in Laramie, Wyo. During his tenure, the Cowboys have accumulated a record of 29-35 and two postseason bowl appearances. Prior to accepting the job at Wyoming, Bohl was the head coach of Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) powerhouse North Dakota State. Bohl led the Bison to three-straight FCS National Championships from 2011-13 with a combined record of 43-2.
- Wyoming returned 13 starters (five offense, six defense, two specialists) from a team that finished 6-6 in 2018.

SERIES HISTORY
- The two teams will meet for the fourth time on the football field. Wyoming holds a 2-1 series advantage with both victories coming in Laramie.
- Wyoming earned a 45-10 victory the last time the two teams squared off (Sept. 30, 2017). Future 2018 NFL Draft first round selection Josh Allen completed 14-of-24 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns for Wyoming. Allen is now the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills.
- Texas State secured its lone victory in the series on Sept. 28, 2013 after outscoring the Cowboys 28-7 in the second half. The teams were deadlocked at 14-14 entering halftime, but TXST cruised to a 42-21 victory behind 138 yards rushing and three scores from tailback Robert Lowe.
- The series began on Sept. 10, 2011 with a 45-10 Cowboy victory in Laramie. Wyoming outgained Texas State 382-77 on the ground and held the Bobcats to 189 total yards of offense.

BOBCAT STADIUM
- Texas State has been playing football at Bobcat Stadium since the facility opened in 1981. The stadium underwent massive renovations ahead of the 2012 season when it was expanded to the current seating capacity of 30,000.
- In remembrance of the program's 14 conference championships and two national championships, signage has been added on the West Side Complex inside Bobcat Stadium and will debut for the Wyoming game.
- Since opening in '81, the Bobcats have enjoyed a home record of 124-100. In the first four seasons inside the stadium, TXST compiled a record of 21-2 in front of Bobcat Nation.
- The Bobcats hold a record of 29-9 in home openers since the opening of Bobcat Stadium. TXST has won five of the last six home openers dating back to the 2013 campaign.
