ABOUT TEXAS STATE
As a team, Texas State ranks inside the top-3 of the following categories: batting average (.285), on-base percentage (.408), runs scored (91), hits (108), and walks (68). The Bobcats have struggled in the circle and on the defensive side of the field, as the team is eighth in the 10-team league in earned run average (4.49) and opposing batting average (.275). The defense has booted the fifth most plays amongst Sun Belt teams with 17 errors.

Junior outfielder Christiana McDowell continues to lead the Bobcat offense at the top of the lineup. She is hitting a team-best .465 (20-for-43) with three doubles and two home runs. She has drawn 10 walks on the season and boasts an on-base percentage of .571. She is the only Bobcat hitter to have over a .375 BA and a .500 OBP.

Freshman designated player Molly Damiani has made the most of her opportunity. As a slapper, she has posted a .318 average (7-for-22) with seven singles. She has walked twice and has scored seven runs.

Junior pitcher Dalilah Barrera continues to be the workhorse for the TXST pitching staff. She has tossed 45.2 innings and struck out 48 batters, which ranks third in the Sun Belt and No. 38 nationally.
