SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State football team celebrates its annual Homecoming weekend when the Bobcats return to Bobcat Stadium for a Sun Belt Conference game against South Alabama at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9. The contest will be televised on ESPN3.

The Bobcats enter the game with a 2-6 overall record and a 1-3 mark in Sun Belt Conference. Â South Alabama enters Saturday's game with a 1-7 overall record and a 0-4 Sun Belt Conference mark.

The Bobcats enter the game following three straight losses against ULM (24-14) on Oct. 10, at Arkansas State (38-14) on Oct. 26 and at Louisiana (31-5) on Nov. 2. Those three losses came after Texas State won back-to-back home games against Georgia State on Sept. 21 and Nicholls on Sept. 28.

Bryan London II enters the South Alabama game with 421 career tackles and ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference with 10.0 tackles per game this season. He has tallied 10 stops in four of the last six games with 13 at Louisiana, 11 against ULM, a career-high 22 against Georgia State and 10 at SMU.

Nikolas Daniels ranks ninth among Sun Belt Conference leaders with 7.5 tackles per game. He is eighth among Sun Belt leaders with 7.5 tackles for loss, and fifth in Sun Belt leaders with 4.0 sacks per game. He also leads the Bobcats with three quarterback hurries.

Frankie Griffin tallied a season-high 11 tackles at Louisiana after returning to Texas State's starting lineup and recording three tackles at Arkansas State.

Senior wide receiver
Hutch White ranks fourth in the Sun Belt Conference with 41 receptions for 299 yards and one touchdown this season. He caught his touchdown pass at Arkansas State.

Sophomore
Tyler Vitt made his third start of the season at Louisiana and completed 24 of 34 passes for a season-high 206 yards and two interceptions. Vitt also led the Bobcats with 38 yards rushing on 10 carries

Senior
Aaron Brewer has been a constant fixture on Texas State's offensive line in the last three seasons. He enters the South Alabama game having made 43 consecutive starts.

SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
The Jaguars are coming off an open week after losing six straight games against Memphis, UAB, ULM, Georgia Southern, Troy, and Appalachian State.

South Alabama senior running back Tra Minter enters Saturday's game second among the school's career leaders with 3,663 all-purpose yards. Minter leads the Sun Belt with 1,184 all-purpose yards this season.

SERIES HISTORY
Texas State looks to win its third straight home game against South Alabama after winning the previous two home games against the Jaguars. The Bobcats won the last two meetings 33-31 on Oct. 26, 2013 and 36-18 on Oct. 24, 2015.Â
