MOBILE, Ala. -- The softball series originally scheduled against the Texas State softball team and South Alabama has officially been canceled due to the excess amount of rain in the area. There will not be a rescheduled date for the series.
The Mobile area has seen upwards of 17 inches of rain in the past week making field conditions very poor.
Texas State will now return home for four straight beginning with a single non-conference game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday evening. Wednesday's game against the Islanders is scheduled to be broadcasted on KBVO at 6 p.m. Live stats, live audio, and live video will be available on www.txstatebobcats.com and a live audio stream will be aired on 89.9 FM KTSW. Brant Freeman and Bill Culhane will be on the call for KBVO.

SATURDAY UPDATE: The doubleheader originally scheduled against South Alabama Saturday afternoon has now been canceled due to the excess amount of rain in the area. The Bobcats and the Jaguars are tentatively scheduled to play in a doubleheader Sunday morning beginning at 11:00 a.m.
