ST. GEORGE, Utah – Lejan Lewthwaite posted a top-10 finish as the Texas State women's golf team competed the BYU Entrada Classic in St. George, Utah on Tuesday.
Lewthwaite carded a final round 1-over-par 73, to give her a three round score of 218, good for a tie for eighth overall. She had two birdies on her round Tueday, coming on the first and fourth holes, after she began her round on the seventh hole.
The eighth place standing is her best finish of the season, and her 218 ties for her best 54-hole score of the year along with the Alamo Invitational in which she also shot a 218.
As a team, Texas State finished in ninth place. The Bobcats were just four shots behind Big 10 school Minnesota for eighth place.
The Bobcats will next be in action later this week on Friday and Saturday at the Mountainview Collegiate in Tuscon, Ariz.
