SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State and the Sun Belt Conference announced the dates for the 2015 football schedule Friday morning. For the second straight year, Texas State has been selected to play a pair of midweek games on national television, both coming on ESPNU. The Bobcats will play Georgia Southern in Statesboro on Thursday, Oct. 29 and then host ULM on Thursday, Nov. 19.

Texas State opens its conference schedule at UL Lafayette on Oct. 10, marking the second time in three years the Bobcats have opened its conference schedule in Lafayette.

Following its second open week of the season, Texas State will host South Alabama on Oct. 24. The last two meetings have been decided by five points, with each team winning on its home field.

The Bobcats' game in Statesboro will mark the first time in school history the team has traveled to Allen E. Paulson. Last year, Georgia Southern was undefeated in league play at the time of the meeting at Bobcat Stadium and Texas State made a furious fourth quarter rally before coming up just short 28-25.

The Bobcats host New Mexico State on Nov. 7, which marks the first of three straight home games. It is the second time in three years, Texas State has had a three-game home stand in league play. The Bobcats will be going for their third straight win against the Aggies.

Texas State will also look to win its third straight game against Georgia State a week later, when the Panthers come for their second visit in school history to Bobcat Stadium. The Bobcats ended the season last year in the Georgia Dome with a resounding 54-31 win.

The home stand ends with the game against ULM on Nov. 19. Texas State overcame a halftime deficit in Monroe, La., last year to come away with a 22-18 victory. The Bobcats have won each of the two meetings against the Warhawks as members of the Sun Belt.

The Bobcats close out their conference schedule with two straight road games at Idaho on Nov. 28 and at Arkansas State on Dec. 5. Texas State will look to win its fourth straight game against the Vandals and second straight contest versus the Red Wolves.

Game times will be announced at a later date.
