Final Results
ORLANDO – Sophomore Maty Monzingo finished the UCF Challenge at even-par for her three rounds, tying her for 19th, at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando. Monzingo's three-round score of 216 ties her for ninth lowest in relation to par in program history, and is the lowest of her career.
Monzingo again had the lowest round of the day for the Bobcats with a 3-over-par 75. She had two birdies on the round when the conditions were making scoring difficult for everyone, relative to the first two rounds.
As a team, Texas State tied with in-state rival SMU and NCAA Tournament qualifier from last season Campbell. The Bobcats finished ahead of South Florida by eight strokes.
The team will be right back in action on Sunday, Feb. 15, in its final home tournament of the season, the Delta Gamma Challenge in New Braunfels, hosted at Landa Park Golf Club.
