ATLANTA – With a four match winning streak to end the 2015 Sun Belt Conference season, the Texas State soccer team has earned the No. 3 seed in the SBC Tournament and will take on No. 6 Georgia State on Wednesday, Nov. 7. The Bobcats and the Panthers are scheduled to kick-off at 6 p.m. CT at the LakePoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Ga.

Change of Venue
Due to the excess amount of rain in the area, including about 60 percent water coverage on Georgia State's home field, the conference has had to relocate the 2015 Championships. Wednesday's games as well as practices on Tuesday will be held at the LakePoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Ga. For more information on LakePoint, go to www.lakepointsports.com. The facility is secured for the entire tournament, but the Georgia State home field will be monitored for improvement with potential to return to the site for the remainder of the tournament. Updates will follow on where the teams will be playing as the week progresses.

Bobcats On A Run
Texas State finished the 2015 regular season with a 12-5 overall record and a 6-3 mark in the Sun Belt Conference. Not only did Texas State have a seven-match winning streak, the longest since 2011, earlier this season, but it ended the conference slate with four straight wins.

The four victories is the second-longest streak in the Sun Belt as South Alabama went undefeated during conference play.

In the final weekend of play, Texas State outscored its opponents 7-2 including Lauren Prater's second hat trick of the season against Georgia State last Friday.

Makin' History
With a conference-leading 12 goals scored this season, Prater has moved into fourth all-time in goals scored in a season. With a career-high 10 goals this year for senior captain Lynsey Curry, she has now moved into third all-time for career goals (29) scored at Texas State.

With 70 points to date, Curry also ranks third in all-time total points. She will leave Texas State as the leading career shot taker.

Team Efforts
Texas State has scored 37 goals so far this season, topping last year's total of 27. Eleven different Bobcats have scored this season and five of those 'Cats have at least two goals. Prater's total of 12 is the highest total scored since Britney Curry scored 12 in the 2008 season.

The Bobcats have launched 265 total shots this season for a .140 shot percentage and 136 of those shots were on goal. The Texas State defense has also worked together for five shutouts this season.

A Look At The Competition
Georgia State, one of the top scoring teams in the conference, enters the Sun Belt Conference tournament with a 10-5-3 overall record and it finished with a 4-4-1 mark in conference play.

The Panthers have scored a combined 33 goals this season, led by Suzanne Arafa and Caitlin Ray with seven a piece. Arafa leads the team with 18 points while Ray is close behind with 16.

Panther goalkeeper Christa Fox has allowed 21 goals this year while racking up 55 saves this season. Fox has an overall save percentage of .721.

Georgia State finished the conference season with a victory at Appalachian State after falling to Texas State in the Friday match. The Bobcats defeated the Panthers 4-1 in San Marcos on Oct. 23.

Texas State owns an overall record of 3-1 against the Panthers with the only loss coming last year during conference play. The Bobcats then turned around and defeated Georgia State at the 2014 SBC Championships.
