SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's basketball team and head coach
Zenarae Antoine have announced the signing of guards Brooke and Bailey Holle, a set of twins that will come to Texas State next season from Westlake High School in Austin, Texas.
"We have been watching Bailey and Brooke ever since we arrived at Texas State and with much excitement we can now add them to our Bobcat family," stated Antoine.

Brooke, a 5-7 guard, has had a decorated high school career to date, which includes being named the Westlake High School's Offensive Most Valuable Player in 2013-14, and the co-MVP in 2014-15 with her sister, Bailey. Brooke has also earned First-Team All-District honors in 2013-14 and 2014-15, Honorable Mention All-District in the 2012-13 season and First-Team All-Centex from 2013-15. In addition, Brooke was named to the Texas All-State Team last year. The last two seasons for Westlake High School, Brooke was the team's scoring leader.
"Brooke's basketball mentality is relentless on both ends of the floor," added Antoine. "She has the ability to score, but she is also a good rebounding guard as well."
Bailey's career has been just as successful as she as also has a pair of Westlake High School Most Valuable Player awards to her name as well as the Defensive Player of the Year in District 15-6A. She earned First-Team All-District honors her junior season, Second-Team All-District honors as a sophomore and Honorable Mention All-District honors as a freshman. Bailey along with Brooke, was named to the Texas All-State Team last season. Bailey was the steals and assists leader at her school the past two seasons.
"Bailey does an excellent job of leading by example by playing hard every possession, but at the same time she is developing the ability to connect, communicate, and 'run' the team," mentioned Antoine.

Both Brooke and Bailey are multi-sport athletes at Westlake High School as each of them have been crowned Track and Field Area Champions as well as Regional Qualifiers in the 4 by 200 meter and 4 by 400 meter relays. In the classroom, both have been named Academic All-District as freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.
Outside of the court and the classroom, the Holle sisters are both members of the GETMAD community service organization, which stands for Girls Energized Towards Making A Difference. They are also both members of the Texas Elite Adidas AAU team.
"Brooke and Bailey will immediately impact the team because of their work-ethic and internal motors both on and off the court," said Antoine. "They come from a family that understands the landscape for student-athletes and I anticipate them having successful careers here at Texas State."
Brooke and Bailey are family to several Texas State alumni as well as a long line of former student-athletes. Their mother, Michelle, is a Texas State alum and their father, Eric, is a former NFL player who was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 1984. The twins' uncles, Coy Lowden and Matt Schnabel, both played baseball at Texas State and Lowden was co-captain of the Bobcats his senior year in 2002.
"Very few coaches have the opportunity to recruit, sign, and coach twins like the Holle's," expressed Antoine. "They are currently playing for an excellent high school coach, Coach Katie Hensel, and they played on a top AAU program as well. Bailey and Brooke will come to Texas State ready for the challenges and help continue our quest for a championship. It's an added bonus for me as a mother of twins to coach them. I look forward to the adventure."
