EUGENE, Ore. – Texas State's
Darian Brown and
Allie Saunders completed the 2014 Track and Field Outdoor season Friday when they competed in the NCAA Championship Finals in Eugene, Ore.
Brown finished 20
th in discus with a throw of 54.55 meters (178-feet-11-inches). It was his eighth best throw of the season, and he was less than 10 feet away from becoming an All-American.
Meanwhile, Saunders finished 21
st in the triple jump with a distance of 12.52 meters (41-feet-1-inch). It was her fourth best triple jump of the season, and she was less than seven inches from All-American status.
The duo represented Texas State in the NCAA Championship Finals after 20 Bobcats went to the NCAA West Preliminary.
As juniors, Brown and Saunders will help Texas State reload for the 2015 track and field season.
