Final Results
SAN MARCOS, Texas – Lejan Lewthwaite shot a 1-under-par 71 in the final round of the Alamo Invitational on Tuesday at Briggs Ranch Golf Club. With the 71, her lowest round of the week, she finished in 28th place for the week at 2-over-par for the event.
Lewthwaite had four birdies on her round Tuesday, including back-to-back at Nos. 17 and 18. She was the third Texas State player to birdie No. 17 on the day, a par-three.
One stroke behind Lewthwaite was fellow Bobcat Iman Nordin, who finished in 29th place after shooting a final round even-par 72. Nordin had three birdies on her round, including the 17th as well.
Texas State had its second-best round of the tournament, shooting a three-over 291, giving the team a three-round score of 885, its best total of the season.
The Bobcats will next be in action on Sunday at the first of two tournaments the team will host this season, beginning with the Jim West Challenge at Tapatio Springs in San Antonio.
