San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State soccer team has its home opener on Tuesday, when it faces Prairie View A&M. It marks the second straight year the Bobcats have hosted the Panthers for the first game in San Marcos.
The Bobcats are coming off a setback in El Paso, which saw them go 0-2 at the Miner Classic. Texas State lost 3-1 to UTEP, before dropping a 2-1 decision to Army.
Prairie View A&M is 0-2, after playing Sam Houston State and Louisiana-Lafayette. The Panthers dropped a close one to Sam Houston, 1-0 and 4-0 to ULL.
Last year against the Panthers, Sydney Curry and Serena Hines each scored two goals in the Bobcats' 6-0 victory. So far this season, Hines has an assist, while Curry has one goal in three games.
