San Marcos, Texas
– The Texas State women's basketball team had its most dominant performance of the season, Thursday night, running past Huston-Tillotson, 93-42 at Strahan Coliseum. A week after her big game at No. 17 Oklahoma State, freshman Erin Peoples had her strongest showing of the year with a season-high 23 points and 12 rebounds to go along with four assists, two steals and a block.

Peoples first steal came 30 seconds into the game when she intercepted a Huston-Tillotson pass at the top of the arc, and went coast-to-cost for the first points of the night. Overall the Bobcats had 11 steals on the night, and held the Rams without a point for the first 3:33 of the game, as part of a 19-2 run to open the game.

Texas State dominated inside, and went down low early and often. The Bobcats finished the night with 62 points in the paint and owned a 65-38 rebounding advantage. Ashley Ezeh had 20 points on the night along with 13 rebounds, her fourth double-double of the season.

Also contributing to the cause was Diamond Ford, who came off the bench for the first time this season. She had 18 points along with six rebounds.

Texas State will now have nine days off as the team prepares for its finals in the classroom. The team will next be in action on December 15, at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
