Versus Opponents This Week
The Bobcats will have a pair of matches against teams that have qualified for the WAC Tournament this week. Texas State will begin the week with a match against New Mexico State, who the Bobcats defeated earlier this season in Las Cruces when the Aggies were leading the conference. Molly Ahrens had a career-high 11 blocks in the win. On Saturday, Texas State will have an opportunity to even the season series with Denver. Earlier this season, Denver defeated the Bobcats in four sets despite a solid overall match from Ashlee Hilbun, who finished with 12 kills, a .417 hitting percentage and four blocks.
Senior Day
The Bobcats have three seniors who will be playing their final match at Strahan Coliseum on Saturday when the team will have its Senior Day. Patti Bradshaw, Caleigh McCorquodale and Danielle Sanchou will all be honored before the game.
Strong Week
Junior Ashlee Hilbun had two strong matches a week ago when the Bobcats defeated Louisiana Tech and UT Arlington. The middle blocker set a career high with 18 digs against UT Arlington, when she also led the team in kills and blocks. Earlier in the week, Hilbun had a season-high eight blocks against LA Tech. Hilbun has led the team in blocks in five of the team's last six matches.
