Women's Basketball Renews I-35 Rivalry With UTSA

Game Notes

San Marcos, Texas –
The Texas State women's basketball team renews its rivalry with UTSA on Saturday at the Convocation Center in San Antonio as part of the I-35 rivalry series. Tip off is set for 4:00.

The last meeting between the two schools was a classic affair. Texas State was up 62-52 with 4:00 minutes remaining before the Roadrunners came back to take a 69-63 victory. Demi Clinch had her best game of the season, scoring 20 points, helped by a 4-of-4 performance from behind the arc, the best of any Bobcat this season.

Since then UTSA has won five of eight games and sits at 9-4 in the Southland Conference, good for second place in the West Division. The Bobcats enter the game at 4-9, tied for eighth place in the league.

Saturday is also the last road game of the year for Texas State who is wrapping up a three-game roadtrip. The team's final two contests will take place in the friendly confines of Strahan Coliseum, beginning Wednesday when Lamar comes to town at 7 p.m.
