Txstatebobcats.com now features a clean, wide-screen design, while the Sidearm support tool allows for quicker posting of stories and greater access to information. The new website also has social media integration, providing the ability to update Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts more timely.

Below is a list of some of the improvements to txstatebobcats.com:

·         In the upper right-hand corner of the homepage, fans can click on quick links to popular pages, such as the Bobcats' Twitter account or photo store.

·         Permanently on the bottom of all pages is a “sticky bar” with recent results and upcoming events in Bobcat Athletics along with links to several popular pages, such as The Drive website, the Ticket Store and the Bobcat Club.

·         The top 10 stories in Bobcat Athletics are featured on the homepage in a rotator. Top videos also appear in this space simply by clicking in the “Video” tab under the main navigation. To find stories no longer appearing in the top 10, click on “General Releases” under the “Athletic Dept.” tab on the main navigation.

·         Several of Texas State's promotions and website features appear in the gold rotator beneath the primary image on the homepage.

·         An up-to-the-second Twitter feed appears on the homepage and each individual sport page.

·         Also on the homepage are Athletes of the Week, Hall of Honor inductees, Press Clips and The First Word with Texas State Athletic Director Larry Teis. The Athletes of the Week feature will highlight two different Bobcats each week, while Hall of Honor contains a repository of all inductees with bio information. The Press Clips page allows fans to see what others are writing about Texas State Athletics, and The First Word gives an inside look at what is going on in the athletic department.

·         A Bobcats Fan Poll is on the homepage to get feedback from fans.

·         Fans can visit other Southland Conference schools' athletic websites easily by clicking the drop-down menu below the Fan Poll on the homepage.

·         Audio clips from radio interviews will appear on the “Podcast” section of the website.

·         Fans can sign up to receive SMS alerts and the weekly E-News Update. Fans can also easily follow the Bobcats on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The new website also features several features that will be live once the fall sports seasons begin. Those features include:

·         Bobcats All-Access with live streaming video and audio along with archives. The new Bobcats All-Access will have several different membership options.

·         The Texas State iPhone App will allow iPhone users to follow everything going on with Texas State Athletics on the go.

·         Live stats for football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball will be available through txstatebobcats.com for all home contests.

·         Auctions will be available where fans can bid on Texas State merchandise and prize packages.

·         Coaches, student-athletes and Texas State Athletics staff will chime in with an all-new blog feature.
