Lauren Frazier completed her sixth season as an assistant coach for Texas State after being regarded as the MVP down the stretch for the Bobcats during their 2011 Southland Conference Championship run. Frazier primarily works with the goalkeepers, the position where she earned SLC Tournament MVP honors in 2011.

The 2017 season saw the Bobcats record six shutouts. In Sun Belt Conference play, five straight shutouts were posted by the backline and goalkeeper Heather Martin to tie the school record set in 2001 and matched in 2009. Martin’s performance between the post earned her All-SBC First Team honors to become the first Texas State keeper since Mandi Mawyer in 2008 to be named first team all-conference.

In 2014, Frazier helped coach the Bobcat backline and goalkeeper Caitlynn Rinehart to six shutouts. Rinehart’s 0.83 goals against average was the third lowest in school history.

During her two years at Texas State as a player, Frazier put up some of the most impressive career numbers the program has seen. She ranks second in goals against average at 0.95, third in shutouts with 11.5 and sixth in saves with 116. Frazier led the Bobcats to the conference championship as evidenced by her 12-5 record. That is good for second all-time in a single season at Texas State.

In 2010, she recorded a goals against average of 0.96  thanks ranks sixth in program history in a season. Frazier surpassed the mark with a 0.93 GAA in 2011. Her senior season numbers  in 2011 were helped greatly by her 7.5 shutouts, which ranks third all-time in school history.

In 2010, Frazier was named Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year, earning Second-Team All-SLC honors. The team was 10-7-0 in her 17 starts.

Frazier transferred to Texas State from Houston where she played two seasons. She made 19 starts in her two years with the Cougars

Frazier graduated from Texas State in 2012 with a degree in exercise and sports science. Frazier also is a part of the South Texas Olympic Development Program goalkeeping staff and has been an evaluator for the past three seasons.
