Hallettsville High School – Played for Coach Calvin Cook . . . led team to a 91-20 record over the course of his high school career . . . won the Texas 2A State Championship in 2013 with a 35-3 record . . . named all-district second team as a freshman . . . earned all-district first team honors as an infielder as a sophomore . . . named district MVP in 2014 . . . finished 2014 with an 0.28 ERA, 157 strikeouts and a 13-1-1 record . . . was an all-state pitcher . . . won the 2014 Perfect Game WWBA 17U World Championship with the Banditos . . . named to the Perfect Game WWBA South Qualifier All-Tournament Team in both 2013 and 2014.
