Alex is in her second year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with Texas State working with baseball and women’s volleyball.
Before coming to Texas State, Alex completed a rehabilitation athletic training residency with Texas Health Sports Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. She provided treatment and rehabilitation for TCU athletics with a focus on overhead athletes. Additionally, she coordinated and lead a 3D motion capture system to assess throwing mechanics for baseball pitchers.
Prior to the residency, Alex worked several seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Mets triple A affiliates as an assistant athletic trainer. She provided injury evaluation and daily treatments for top prospects and elite baseball athletes.
She first moved to Texas to obtain her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from Texas A&M. Before graduating in 2018, Alex worked with Texas A&M baseball and women’s soccer.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Texas Athletic Training Board. She has also obtained a Corrective Exercise Specialist certification.
