Went a season-high 2.2 innings vs. Lamar (5/4) ... Struck out a season-high five at Northwestern State en route to his second win of the season (5/18) ... Struck out four or more three times ... Never walked more than two.

North Central Texas: Played two seasons for head coach Scott Harp at North Central Texas College in Gainesville, Texas … Had a 4-1 record with four saves and a 2.63 ERA as a freshman before posting a 6-3 record with one save and a 3.68 ERA as a sophomore.

High School: Attended Cuero High School in Cuero, Texas where he played for head coach Scott Holder … Earned all-state, all-area and all-district honors … Was named the district MVP … As a junior, posted a 7-1 record and 1.95 ERA in 36 innings on the mound … As a senior, had a 8-0 record and 1.17 ERA in 45 innings pitched … Was also an all-district safety in football.

Personal: Son of Richard and Rhonda Goebel … Cousin, Brad, played three years in the NFL with the Eagles and Browns … Born on April 11 … Has two siblings, Russell and Reanne … Major is exercise and sports science with a minor in business.
