High School: Graduated from Casteel High School... Four-year letterwinner under head coach Matt Denny... Played in 109 varsity games across four seasons, registering a .330 career batting average with 20 runs, 17 doubles, two triples, two home runs and 64 RBI... As a senior, hit .367 with nine runs, six doubles, one triple, one homer and 31 RBI... Selected as the 5A Conference Defensive Player of the Year following his senior season in which he posted a .983 fielding percentage on 177 total chances... Picked up First Team All-Conference honors as a senior and Second Team All-Conference honors as a junior... Participated in the 2022 Area Code Underclass Games with the Reds.

Personal: Son of Tom and Sherrie Thompson... Both parents were student-athletes at Santa Clara where his dad played baseball and his mother played soccer... Has one older brother, Luke, and two sisters, Brinley and Megan... His brother played baseball at Colorado Christian... His sister Megan was a gymnast at Arizona State... His uncle, Karl Thompson, played baseball at Santa Clara and was a sixth round selection of the Seattle Mariners in the 1995 MLB Draft... Enjoys playing guitar, hanging out with friends and lifitng in his spare time.
