Tyler Sibley

After a stellar playing career, Tyler Sibley made the move to baseball administration in 2013. He’s taken over the administrative duties of the baseball program as Director of Operations for Texas State Baseball.

Sibley spearheads the administrative efforts in regards to travel, food, scheduling, baseball fundraising and more.

Fans remember Sibley as the leadoff second baseman who finished his final season hitting .271 while starting all 56 games played. He finished the year with 60 hits, second on the team, and 12 doubles. In addition to notching 16 RBI his senior year, he added a home run and 36 runs scored.

During his time wearing the maroon and gold Sibley performed well on and off the field, as he was recognized as both an All-American and an Academic All-American. In 2011, Sibley was named the Southland Conference’s Student-Athlete of the Year and he earned the same award from Texas State in both 2011 and 2012.

After being drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2011, Sibley finished his accounting degree, graduating summa cum laude in 2012 and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Accountancy at Texas State.

In his free time, Sibley volunteers with the Miracle League, a youth bsaeball league for special needs children.
