Texas State Athletics

The 2017 season is the first for Austin Caffey as a manager for the Bobcats. He is primarily responsible for overseeing the bullpen during games and assisting with pitchers and catchers during practice.

The junior at Texas State was a member of the team for one season during his freshman campaign.

Caffey is a native of Rockdale, Texas, and graduated from Rockdale High School in 2014. He is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise and sports studies.

He is the son of Derek and April Caffey.
