Texas State Cheer Prep Clinics are open to all High School and College cheerleaders interested in trying out for a collegiate cheerleading squad or getting ready for competition. Our Prep Clinics are designed to bridge the gap between High School/ All-Star cheerleading and collegiate cheerleading. Athletes will have the opportunity to learn and try collegiate skills in a safe and friendly enjoyment with our highly trained coaches and the current Texas State cheerleaders. Our goal is to help athletes safely become familiar with skills they will be asked to perform at a college tryout. In addition, athletes will get constructive pointers on stunt technique, tumbling, fitness, and more.
Athletes interested in Texas State Cheer are highly encouraged to attend a clinic. Anyone interested in signing onto the team must attend an in person clinic or practice.
Everyone is encouraged to come learn, have fun, and get a step ahead for the college cheer experience at Texas State.
Clinic Dates:
- Saturday September 27th 9am-12pm
- Saturday October 25th 10am-1pm
- Sunday November 23rd 12pm-3pm
Cheer Clinic Information:
- The online registration clinic fee is $85.00. No Registrations will be accepted at the door. There is a strict no refunds policy. Â
- Payments/registration made at the door can be paid by cash/check/or online QR Code. There is an ATM on site. Please make checks payable to Texas State Cheerleading
- Doors to Check-In opens one hour prior to the clinic
- Each participant is limited to TWO spectators.
- Attire: Please wear athletic gear, cheer shoes and have your hair pulled back. We ask that all High School under classmen wear Black and Seniors and college  transfers wear Maroon so that you can be easily identified. No Jewelry is allowed.
- Location is Jowers Gym 102 on the Texas State University campus using a 2 ¼ inch foam floor. You will enter through the University events center main doors.
- Staffed by Texas State Cheer Squad and USA Cheer certified coaches.
- Traditions, Stunt, Tumbling, and cheer instruction with Texas State Cheerleaders.
- All Athletes must complete a waiver with their signature for individuals to participate
