New Mexico Junior College (2015-16) – Played for two seasons at NMJC, which is a member of Region V and competes at the NJCAA Division I level . . . pitched in 33 games, while making 18 starts in his two campaigns . . . recorded a 15-3 record and a 5.59 ERA in 132 innings pitched . . . registered 118 strikeouts to just 48 walks . . . was named the 2016 WJAC Pitcher of the Year after posting an 11-1 record as a sophomore . . . ranked seventh in the nation in total wins sophomore year, while ranking eighth in the country in games started (15) and ninth in shutouts (2) . . . threw two one-hitters . . . the Thunderbirds compiled a 79-41 overall record and a 52-20 conference mark in his two campaigns . . . helped lead NMJC to two runner-up finishes in the Western Junior Athletic Conference, and the team made two appearances in the Region V Championship.
 
Monterey High School – Named to the Collins Street Bakery TSWA Class 4A All-State Second Team senior year . . . was also the UIL District 4-4A MVP senior year, and was named to the UIL All-District 4-4A First Team as a junior . . . picked up two All-District 2-5A Second Team nods as a sophomore at both utility and pitcher . . . named to the THSCA All-State Academic Honorable Mention team in football as a senior.
