Biography
Junior (2017) – Played in 58 games and made 57 starts in center field . . . had a batting average of .277 (65-for-235) . . . added 15 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 32 RBIs and 51 runs scored . . . led the nation with a perfect fielding percentage (135 putouts, two assists, no errors) . . . ranked in the top 15 in the Sun Belt Conference in seven additional categories, including leading the league in total plate appearances (285) . . . was fifth in both runs scored and at bats, seventh in doubles, 10th in walks (37), 12th in steals (12) and 14th in total bases (103) . . . recorded 16 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI contests . . . had a season-high four hits and four RBIs, while tying the school record with five runs scored against Oklahoma State (Feb. 25) . . . also had three hits, four RBIs and three runs scored against Purdue (Feb. 18) and Arkansas State (March 31), while finishing with three hits, three RBIs and four runs scored against Richmond (March 3) . . . hit a walkoff home run against the Boilermakers and also posted a walkoff double in the regular-season finale against UTA (May 20) . . . his longest hitting streak of the campaign was seven, and he reached base safely in 22 straight at one point.
Sophomore (2016) – Competed in 42 games and earned 25 starting nods (17-CF, 7-RF, 1-DH) . . . finished the year hitting .282 (24-for-85) . . . registered seven doubles, one triple, two homers, 11 RBIs and 19 runs scored . . . also stole four bags . . . had a perfect fielding percentage (49 putouts, no assists, no errors) . . . had multiple hits in four games, including a 3-for-4 effort against UTA (May 21) . . . also scored three times against the Mavericks . . . drove in multiple teammates in three games, including a three-RBI performance against Incarnate Word (March 5).
Freshman (2015) – Saw action in 42 games, making 27 starts in center field . . . tallied a .217 average (20-for-92) . . . posted one double, two home runs, five RBIs and 18 runs scored . . . also compiled a .972 fielding percentage (68 putouts, one assist, two errors) . . . hit homers against both Appalachian State (March 15) and Baylor (April 2) . . . compiled four multi-hit games and scored twice in four games . . . had a stretch where he reached base safely in 13 consecutive games.
Calallen High School – Played for Steve Chapman . . . was named all-state, all-south Texas and all-district . . . also played football in which he was named all-state, all-south Texas and the district MVP . . . graduated cum laude.
