2012: Started 29 games in the outfield … finished the season with an on-base percentage of .392, second on the team … had a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 in 84 chances … scored 21 runs in his 29 games … began the year on a three-game hitting streak, going 5-for-12 (.417) with two RBI and a double during that streak … went 3-for-4 with a stolen base against Baylor … finished the year going 11-for-13 in steals, including a stretch of four straight games (5/4-9) with at least one stolen base … went 4-for-5 with four runs scored including a double and a triple against Stephen F. Austin (5/23) … it came one game after he scored three runs in the regular season finale against Northwestern State (5/19) … finished the year scoring 10 runs over his last five games.
 
2011: Played in 31 games and made 16 starts between left field and designated hitter … posted a .230 batting average in 61 at-bats with seven runs scored and four stolen bases in his first season as a Bobcat … picked up his first hit for Texas State against Sam Houston State (3/18) in a pinch-hit at-bat … finished 3-for-5 against Sam Houston State (3/20).

High School: Earned three letters as an outfielder for head coach Danny Wallace at Georgetown High School … named all-state third team as a senior while setting school records for runs (46) and stolen bases (29) … batted .400 with 12 doubles, a school-record 39 RBIs and a .562 on-base percentage as a junior, earning All-District 14-5A honors.
