2010: Led the team with a .375 batting average, totaling 39 hits in 104 at-bats, and a .445 on-base percentage … played in 38 games, making 29 starts primarily at second base … finished the season with 19 runs scored, four doubles and 11 RBIs … finished the season strong with multiple hits in three of the team’s final four games, helping him earn Southland Conference All-Tournament Team honors … went 2-for-4 with an RBI in his first start of the season at second base … had three hits in four at-bats with a double, three runs scored and an RBI against Houston Baptist (4/27).

2009: Made two starts in his nine appearances on the field ... started in two games against Southland-foe Texas A&M-Corpus Christi ... hit .083 for the season … went 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI against Prairie View A&M ... was hit by a pitch once.

2008: Redshirt season.

2007: Saw action in 11 games ... recorded first RBI of the season against Texas Southern (2/16) ... scored first career run against UTSA (5/24) ... ended the season with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

High School: Earned three letters under head coach Rick Carpenter at Elkins High School ... saw time at middle infield and pitched ... led the team to a 23-8 mark his senior year at EHS ... garnered 20-5A All-District honors, helping the Knights to the 2006 district title.

Personal: Son of Matt and Melanie Vest ... born on Dec. 26 ... has two younger siblings, Drew and Will ... major is undecided.
