Biography

2011: Named to the All-Southland Conference Second Team in the outfield along with CoSIDA Academic All-District Second Team honors … placed on the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Watch List … started all 64 games and tied for second on the team with 10 home runs … hit .319 in 238 at-bats while scoring 53 runs scored and 47 RBIs … slugged .500 with the second highest on-base percentage on the team of .428 … stole 12 bases in a 17 attempts … had 20 multi-hit games … was hit by a team-high 15 pitches at the plate … also appeared in 17 games as a pitcher out of the bullpen, recording a Texas State record nine saves as the team’s closer … finished the season with a 1-3 record and 2.08 ERA in 26.0 innings on the mound without allowing a home run … hit a career-high three home runs against McNeese State (5/1), tying the Texas State single-game record ... went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and three RBIs against Nicholls (5/28) … had a career-high four hits in a 4-for-6 performance with four RBIs and three runs scored against Houston (3/12) ... stole a career-high three bases against Sam Houston State (3/19) ... went 2-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs against Houston (3/13).

 

2010: Earned All-Southland Conference Second Team honors as a designated hitter, while also collecting Southland Conference All-Tournament Team recognition to close the season … played both as a designated hitter and pitcher, making 23 appearances on the mound after playing in 45 games … on the mound, led the team with a 1.75 ERA in 25 2/3 innings pitched … recorded 16 strikeouts and allowed just five earned runs while holding opponents to a .261 batting average … held left-handed batters to a .212 batting average … made 10 consecutive appearances without allowing an earned run between April and May … struck out a career-high four batters in two 2/3 innings against Nicholls (5/28) … at the plate, finished fourth on the team with a .350 batting average and third with 10 home runs … slugged a team-best .633 while recorded 16 doubles and two triples … added 46 runs scored and 44 RBIs … struck out just 16 times in 177 at-bats … finished the season with 19 multiple hit games and 10 multiple RBI games … went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, three runs scored and five RBIs against Central Arkansas (4/9) … had two multiple home run games, the first in a 3-for-4 effort against McNeese State (5/7) and the second against UT Arlington (5/29).

2009: Provided solid left-handed relief in 12 appearances ... pitched seven 2/3 innings with six strikeouts ... went three straight appearances without allowing a run ... allowed 12 earned runs on the season with 20 hits for a 14.09 ERA.
