SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State Athletics and Learfield's Texas State Sports Properties announced the addition of Cameron Parker to the Texas State Sports Network broadcast team for the 2026 football and men's basketball seasons. Parker will join longtime Texas State broadcaster Brant Freeman to form a new radio broadcast team for Bobcat Athletics.

The 2026 season marks the beginning of a new era for the Texas State Sports Network, with Parker and Freeman acting as joint play-by-play announcers, bringing their complementary experience and perspectives to Bobcat football and men's basketball broadcasts.

"From the beginning of the search process, we knew we had the opportunity to do something special," said Director of Athletics Don Coryell.  "I am excited to name Brant Freeman and Cameron Parker as the co play-by-play voices of Bobcat Football.  I look forward to hearing Texas State fans reactions to their enthusiasm and passion on the calls over the Texas State Sports Network."

Parker brings extensive experience across collegiate and professional sports broadcasting, with a career that includes play-by-play work across television and radio. Most recently, Parker called Texas Longhorns baseball and beach volleyball on ESPN+ and the Longhorn Network, while also handling radio play-by-play for Texas men's and women's basketball.

"It's been a dream of mine to join a Division I broadcast crew, and I'm incredibly grateful to have that opportunity with Texas State," remarked Parker. "I'm ecstatic to join Brant and the Learfield team as part of the Texas State Sports Network, and I can't wait to tell the stories of Bobcat Athletics and be a part of this community. Eat 'em up!"

Parker joins Freeman in the booth, who has served in a variety of broadcasting roles covering Texas State Athletics since 2003. During his career with Texas State, Freeman has covered nearly every sport for the Bobcats, including football, volleyball, soccer, men's and women's basketball, softball, baseball, golf and track and field and currently serves as the lead television announcer for Bobcat Athletics. He has also hosted the Texas State Coaches Radio Show each football season since 2006 and the university's weekly statewide football television show from 2010-19.
