Jackson Named Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Nominee

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State quarterback Brad Jackson has been named the Bobcats' nominee for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, recognizing one of college football's premier leaders in athletics, academics and community service. Members are selected for their dedication to serving others and making a lasting impact away from the game. Jackson has established himself as a leader within the Texas State football program while maintaining an outstanding commitment to academic achievement and community engagement.

During the 2024-25 academic year, he earned Dean's List honors, was recognized as a Star of Excellence for maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA, received Bobcat Academic Excellence recognition and was named to the Sun Belt Commissioner's List.

Away from the field, Jackson has consistently invested in serving others through a variety of organizations and initiatives.

Since January 2024, he has been an active volunteer with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, participating in weekly Bible studies, leadership development programs and community outreach efforts while mentoring fellow student-athletes. His involvement includes assisting with service projects and helping foster personal and spiritual growth within the Texas State Athletics community.

Jackson also served on the TXST Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during 2025, representing his teammates while collaborating with university leadership to enhance the student-athlete experience and expand community outreach opportunities. Through the committee, he participated in service projects and campus initiatives designed to strengthen the connection between Texas State Athletics and the San Marcos community.

In December 2025, Jackson volunteered with Partnerships for Children, supporting programs benefiting children and families involved in the foster care system. His efforts helped provide resources and meaningful experiences for local foster youth during the holiday season.

On the field, Jackson quickly emerged as one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in Texas State history. Following his breakout 2025 season, he ranks first in program history in career completion percentage (70.6), passing efficiency (163.0) and average yards per pass (12.9). Jackson earned All-Sun Belt Conference Third Team honors, was named the Armed Forces Bowl MVP and was a semifinalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. He threw for 3,224 yards and 21 touchdowns while adding a school-record 17 rushing touchdowns, accounting for a program-record 3,968 yards of total offense and 38 total touchdowns.
