Bobcats Roll Past Tyler JC 7-0 to Close Regular Season Unbeaten at Home

SAN MARCOS, Texas— Texas State women's tennis closed out the regular season in dominant fashion with a 7-0 sweep over Tyler Junior College on Saturday morning at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.

Texas State won all completed matches in straight sets and did not drop a doubles court in the contest, improving to 13-7 overall heading into postseason play.

With the home win, the Bobcats finish the regular season undefeated at home with a 7-0 record.

Doubles
Texas State secured the doubles point quickly and never looked back, winning all three courts. 

Ireland Simme and Emily Niers opened with a 6-1 victory on court one, while Tadiwa Mauchi and Anastasia Radovanovic matched the score on court two. 

The Bobcats claimed the third doubles position by walkover to clinch the point.

Singles
In singles play, Texas State continued its control with straight-set victories across the lineup. 

Simme led the way on court one with a 6-2, 6-1 win, while Niers followed with a 6-0, 6-1 decision on court two. 

Charlotte Roesch added a dominant 6-0, 6-0 sweep on court three.

Stoney Cooks secured a 6-4, 6-4 win on court four, and Radovanovic earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory on court five. 

The Bobcats completed the sweep with a walkover win on court six.

Texas State returns to action in Rome, Georgia from April 22-26 to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
