Doubles
In doubles play, Texas State secured an early win on court three as Tadiwa Mauchi and Chantajah Mills dominated with a 6-0 victory over Jade Marie and Cristina Tchanichev.

However, South Alabama responded by taking courts one and two to claim the doubles point. Emily Niers and Ireland Simme fell 6-2 on court one, while Stoney Cooks and Charlotte Roesch battled but came up short in a 7-5 decision on court two.

Singles
In singles play, Texas State quickly evened the match as Ireland Simme cruised to a straight-sets win, 6-2, 6-1, on court two.

Emily Niers followed with a strong performance on court one, defeating Rio Maeda, 6-2, 7-6 (7-7), to give the Bobcats momentum.

Charlotte Roesch delivered one of the decisive points of the match on court four, outlasting Jana Rovira in a tightly contested battle, 6-2, 7-6 (9-7).

Anastasia Radovanovic then sealed the team victory on court six, rallying for a three-set win, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.

South Alabama earned singles wins on courts three and five, but it was not enough to overcome Texas State's surge in singles play.

The Bobcats will continue their road trip Sunday against Arkansas State.
