Bobcats Earn 4-2 Win at Louisiana

LAFAYETTE, La. — Texas State women's tennis secured a 4-2 road victory over Louisiana on Sunday morning at Cajun Courts, improving to 10-6 overall on the season.

The Bobcats claimed the doubles point and won three singles matches to clinch the match, earning a key conference road win.

Doubles
Texas State took an early advantage by securing the doubles point with wins on courts two and three.

On court two, Charlotte Roesch and Stoney Cooks secured a 6-4 victory over Louisiana's Martina Della Gora and Safia Zenbi. The duo remains undefeated this season, improving to 7-0 on court two.

Emily Niers and Anastasia Radovanovic followed with a dominant 6-1 win on court three against Ana Martinez Vaquero and Marilou Bressan to clinch the doubles point.

Louisiana picked up a 6-4 win on court one over Olivia Collins and Ireland Simme, but the Bobcats had already secured the early lead.
 
Singles
Texas State won three singles matches to seal the victory.

On court two, Ireland Simme rallied after dropping the first set to defeat Safia Zenbi, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, extending her win streak to nine matches. Simme improves to 11-2 overall on courts two through four this season.

Charlotte Roesch added another point on court four with a comeback win over Martina Della Gora, 3-6, 6-1, 6-1.

Anastasia Radovanovic closed out the match on court six with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Rocio Navarro. Radovanovic remains undefeated this season, improving to 6-0 on courts five and six.

Louisiana earned points on courts three and five, while the match on court one went unfinished.

The Bobcats return to the Bobcat Tennis Complex this coming weekend for matches against UTSA and Tyler Junior College.
