It was eight points from Anderson on 4-9 shooting that helped Texas State battle in the second. She had 10 points and four rebounds in the first half.

Our of the halftime break, the Chanticleers upped their scoring. Despite the Bobcats out-rebounding them 10-7, the home side shot 8-12 from the field, 5-6 from three and 12-14 from the free throw line to score 33 in the third. Texas State scored 19 while going a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line, but they continued to find themselves trailing heading to the fourth quarter.
