SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State Athletics continues to enhance the Bobcat game day experience with new, high-impact videoboards coming to both Bobcat Softball Stadium and Bobcat Ballpark ahead of the 2026 season. Fans attending softball and baseball games this spring will enjoy upgraded, larger in-venue visuals designed to deliver clearer video, more dynamic content, and a stronger connection between the action on the field and the crowd. Both videoboards will be completed prior to opening weekend for their respective seasons.
"These upgrades reflect our continued investment in the fan and student-athlete experience," said Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations
Jeremy Stolfa. "Modern videoboards allow us to better tell the story of the game, enhance in-game atmosphere, and support our programs with technology that matches the growth of Texas State Athletics."
At Bobcat Softball Stadium, the new, larger videoboard—provided by Digital Scoreboards, LLC—will measure 26 feet by 16 feet with a 10mm display featuring more than 360,000 ultra-high brightness pixels. A five-by-six-foot, double-sided SuperCat logo will be mounted above the board.
"The new videoboard adds energy to our stadium and enhances how fans experience our games," said Texas State Softball Head Coach
Ricci Woodard. "It creates a more exciting environment for our players and helps make Bobcat Softball Stadium an even better home-field advantage."
Bobcat Ballpark will receive a larger videoboard from Digital Scoreboards, LLC measuring 38 feet by 26 feet, also with a 10mm display and more than 880,000 ultra-high brightness pixels, along with a matching SuperCat logo. The upgraded board expands visual capacity compared to the previous display and improves visibility throughout the venue.
"This upgrade impacts both competition and preparation," said Texas State Baseball Head Coach
Steven Trout. "The increased size and clarity allow us to share more detailed visuals during games and practices, while also elevating the overall experience for our fans. It's another meaningful improvement to an already special ballpark."
Both videoboards will utilize digital scoring, replacing traditional fixed-digit scoreboards, and will support consistent, high-quality content across both venues, including live video, replays, player statistics, and real-time game data. The 10mm pixel technology and unobstructed sight lines will provide sharper visuals than previous displays.
Texas State Softball will debut its new videoboard on Feb. 12 against Clemson during the opening game of the States Up Invitational, with first pitch set for 5 p.m. Texas State Baseball will unveil its new display on Feb. 13 when the Bobcats host Niagara at 6 p.m.
